FIRST AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br />This Amendment ("Amendment") to that certain Employment Agreement ("Agreement"), dated as of <br />July 1, 2007, by and between the City of San Leandro ("City") and John J. Jermanis ("Employee") is entered <br />into as of July 1, 2008. <br />RECITALS <br />A. City and Employee have previously entered into the Agreement related to Employee's service <br />as City Manager of City. <br />B. City and Employee desire to extend the term of the Agreement through September 5, 2008, at <br />which time Employee will retire from City service under the provisions of the California Public Employees <br />Retirement System; and to update the benefit provision to conform to management employee benefits for the <br />period commencing January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2008. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, City and Employee do hereby agree to the following: <br />Amendment. Section 2(a) and Section 7 of the Agreement are hereby amended in accordance with the <br />above Recitals and as fully set forth in Attachment A, hereto. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City has caused this Amendment to be signed and executed on its <br />behalf by its Mayor and duly attested by the City Clerk.
