Continued Discussion Regarding West San Leandro-MacArthur Boulevard and <br />Alameda County-City of San Leandro Redevelopment Advisory Committees <br />City Manager Jermanis reported that staff's follow-up work on this item is still being <br />completed, and the item will be continued to the next Committee meeting. <br />2. Continued Discussion Regarding School Representatives to the Recreation and Parks <br />Commission (RAPC) <br />Mr. Jermanis summarized the previous discussion on this item. Recreation and Human <br />Services Director Carolyn Knudtson suggested that perhaps City staff could coordinate the <br />selection process, with a review by the School District. She stressed the importance of <br />communicating with the School District throughout the process, if the City took responsibility <br />for coordination. Ms. Knudtson commented on the idea of having a school employee as the <br />RAPC representative, noting that the Representative would deal with District-wide issues, and <br />not just with their own school's issues. <br />Mr. Jermanis commented that the ordinance would need to be amended in order to change the <br />nomination process for the RAPC School District Representatives.
