Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br /> <br />Councilmember Prola led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />B. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: Members Grant, Gregory, Prola, Souza, Starosciak, Stephens; <br />Mayor Santos <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> <br /> 2. PRESENTATIONS/RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br />A. Recognition of the Employee of the Quarter, Reh-Lin Chen, Senior Transportation <br />Engineer, Engineering and Transportation Department. <br /> <br />Reh-Lin Chen was present to receive his award. <br /> <br />B. Presentation of Check from Asian Community Cultural Association to the American <br />Red Cross for Earthquake Relief Efforts in China. <br /> <br />Benny Lee, representing the Asian Community Cultural Association, presented checks <br />totaling $1,850 to the American Red Cross for relief to victims of the devastating <br />earthquake in Sechuan, China. Councilmember Michael Gregory accepted the checks <br />on behalf of the American Red Cross. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />Recreation and Human Services Director Carolyn Knudtson accepted the Parks and <br />Recreation Month proclamation presented by Mayor Santos. <br /> <br />
