MINOTES Page 4 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-July 28, 2008 <br />Public Comments on Item 2.A.: <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council regarding public <br />participation, and high taxes by multiple agencies. <br />End of Public Comments on Item 2.A. <br />B. Ordinance No. 2008-009, an Ordinance Amending Section 4-5-530 of Chapter 4-5 of <br />the San Leandro Municipal Code Relating to Ice Cream Trucks Prohibited Within Five <br />Hundred (500) Feet of Primary or Secondary Schools (clarifies the prohibition of ice <br />cream trucks from operating within 500 feet of a school during the school day, half hour <br />prior to the start of the school day, and half hour following students dismissal at the end <br />of the school day). <br />Public Comments on Item 2.B.: <br />(1413) <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on <br />the impact of traffic on ice cream trucks, and the potentially dangerous situation for <br />children around the trucks. <br />End of Public Comments on Item 2.B. <br />- Adopted <br />M/S/C Prola and Starosciak. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />C. Resolution No. 2008-093, Resolution Approving Amendment to Alameda County <br />Waste Management Authority (ACWMA) Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement <br />(approves amendment to maintain the two-thirds vote requirement for actions requiring <br />expenditures of $500,000 or more but to allow all other actions to proceed based on a <br />majority vote). <br />Public Comments on Item 2.C.: <br />(2047) <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting that <br />the two-thirds vote requirement should apply to all expenditures. <br />End of Public Comments on Item 2.C. <br />M/S/C Starosciak and Prola.
