PUBLIC HEARINGS-CITY COUNCIL <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the Ciry Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br />None. <br />4. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the Mayor. <br />When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the <br />City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names and <br />addresses obtained. The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest NOT <br />listed on the Agenda. <br />Rose Johnson, President, San Leandro Chamber of Commerce, addressed the City <br />Council, expressing support for the Council's consideration of the action to be taken under <br />Item 8.N., to acquire 262 Davis Street, the property currently owned by the Chamber of <br />Commerce. <br />Joel DeWitt, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, recalling his candidacy for <br />City Council, made more memorable by his positive experience with City Manager Jermanis. <br />Mr. DeWitt shared with the Council his wish list for the future of San Leandro: more police <br />detectives, development at the San Leandro Marina, and more encouragement of <br />development. <br />6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />Mr. Jermanis thanked the Mayor and City Council for presenting him with the proclamation <br />honoring his service to San Leandro. He introduced his wife, Linda, who was in the audience. <br />Mr. Jermanis thanked Mr. DeWitt for his comments, and he also thanked the City Council <br />and the community for the opportunity to serve for 37%2 years. Mr. Jermanis commented that <br />he will take away with him fond memories of his working relationships with City Councils <br />present and past, and commented on the familial atmosphere in the City organization. <br />
