IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO.2008- <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING MEASURE O, <br />SCHOOL BOND FOR SAN LORENZO SCHOOLS <br />WHEREAS, on the November 2008 ballot, the San Lorenzo Unified School District will <br />be asking voters to consider Measure O, which is a general obligation bond which would generate <br />$83 million in local funds to continue the renovation and modernization of schools in the San <br />Lorenzo Unified School District; and <br />WHEREAS, if approved by voters, Measure O will provide funding for much needed <br />improvements at Corvallis Elementary, Dayton Elementary and Washington Manor Middle <br />Schools in San Leandro; and <br />WHEREAS, these improvements and modernizations would include upgrades to <br />classroom technology, athletic field renovations and science laboratory upgrades at the Middle <br />School, plus traffic and parking improvements at all three of the aforementioned schools in San <br />Leandro; and <br />WHEREAS, these improvements and modernizations will benefit the learning experience <br />for San Leandro students, improve the quality of education in these schools, and enhance safety for <br />students and the community as a whole. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE to <br />support Measure O. <br />Introduced by Councilmember and passed and adopted this <br />6~' day of October, 2008 by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ATTEST: <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
