• Projected Phase 2 project costs are estimated at $15,800,000, which includes construction of Phase 2 improvements, consultant construction administration, material testing and inspection services, and utility services connections • Funding for the building fixtures, furnishings, and equipment (FF&E) will be requested separately as needed based on actual Phase 2 project costs Budget Authority • The 2004-OS Fiscal Year budget adopted by Resolution No. 2004-192 on June 21, 2004 provided the following funding: CIP funds in Account No. 210-43-191 and CDBG funds in Account No. 165-43-191 • Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding in Account No. 150-43-191 • The 2006-07 Fiscal Year budget adopted by Resolution No. 2006-059 on June 19, 2006 provided the following funding: Hospital contribution funds in Account No. 210-43-102, CDBG funds in Account No. 165-43-192, and Redevelopment Agency JPA funds in Account No. 962-43-192 • The 2007-08 Fiscal Year budget allocated additional CDBG funding to this project in Account No. 165-43-192 • Additional funding for FF&E will be requested in the 2009-2010 Fiscal Year Budget as needed based on actual Phase 2 construction costs • The 2008-09 Fiscal Year Budget adopted by Resolution No. 2008-058 on June 2, 2008 allocated Joint Project Area funds for construction of the improvements in Account No. 962- 86-064, HUD EDI Grant Funds in Account No. 150-43-162, and CDBG Funds in Account No. 165-43-192 • The City and Redevelopment Agency executed a Cooperation Agreement, not to exceed $13,000,000, to fund the project CONCLUSION Staff recommends approval of a contractual services agreement with Applied Materials and Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $74,658 to provide construction administration and project closeout services for the subject project.
