The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest <br />listed on the Agenda. <br /> <br />Jenny Kubicki, San Leandro resident <br />, addressed the City Council, commenting on the need <br />for a competitive pool at the San Leandro Aquatics Center. Ms. Kubicki suggested that funds <br />from the passage of Measure WW could be used toward the construction of the pool. <br /> <br />Lehua Lee, San Leandro resident <br />, addressed the City Council, commenting on the need for <br />a competitive pool at the San Leandro Aquatics Center. Ms. Lee expressed concern about the <br />limited services offered at the Aquatics Center due to the lack of a large pool. <br /> <br />Lou Filipovich, San Leandro resident, <br /> addressed the City Council, commenting on the <br />closed session agenda, and on people who participate in City issues but do not live here. <br /> <br />Wafaa Aborashed, representing Healthy San Leandro Environmental Collaborative <br />and Davis West Neighborhood Group <br />, addressed the City Council, asking why the City is <br />purchasing property when it has a $9 million budget deficit, and commenting that the <br />neighborhood is not in agreement with the widening of Davis Street and the extension of <br />Westgate Parkway, since the original plans did not include Laura Avenue. Ms. Aborashed <br />commented that the environmental health impacts must be studied and public meetings <br /> <br />
