PUBLIC HEARINGS-CITY COUNCIL <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br />A. Matter of Amendments to the San Leandro Zoning Code Including Article 6, Sections <br />2-630, 2-636, 2-638, 2-640, 2-642, 2-644, 2-646, 2-686 and 2-698 Regarding Zoning <br />Standards in the DA Zones; Article 7, Sections 2-704, 2-706, and 2-708 Regarding <br />Animal Boarding and Government Offices in Industrial Districts; Article 16, Section 4- <br />16146(B) Regarding Recycling Facilities in the IP Zone; Article 17, Section 4-1702 <br />Regarding Miscellaneous Parking Requirements; and Article 25, Section 5-2506 <br />Regarding the Site Plan Review Process (improves property development regulations <br />and implements changes initiated by the adopted Downtown San Leandro Transit- <br />Oriented Development [TOD] Strategy). <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, Interim City <br />Manager Steve Hollister gave a brief background on the item and introduced Senior <br />Planner Philip Millenbah. Mr. Millenbah gave a short presentation on the minor <br />amendments to the Zoning Code proposed for adoption. <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br />Lou FiGpovich, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on <br />recycling facilities and items unrelated to the matter. <br />There being no further comments from the public, and without objection, the Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br />• Ordinance No. 2008-011, an Ordinance Amending San Leandro Zoning Code <br />Part II, Article 6, Sections 2-630, 2-636, 2-638, 2-640, 2-642, 2-644, 2-646, 2-686, <br />and 2-698 Regarding Zoning Standards in the DA Zones (allows the same density <br />in lots in Downtown Area DA Districts with the requirement of a conditional use <br />permit for lots smaller than 20,000 square feet). Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Stephens) <br />• Ordinance No. 2008-012, an Ordinance Amending San Leandro Zoning Code <br />Part II, Article 7, Sections 2-704, 2-706, and 2-708 Regarding Animal Boarding <br />and Government Offices in Industrial Districts (allows government offices and <br />animal boarding in the Industrial Limited IL, Industrial General IG, and Industrial <br />Park IP Districts).
