ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />Public comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker per item, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />A. Presentation on Senior Community Center. <br /> <br />Interim City Manager Hollister provided an overview of the project and introduced <br />Recreation and Human Services Manager Joann Oliver. <br /> <br />Ms. Oliver presented and described the floor plan for the future Senior Center, and the <br />activities and services proposed to be provided at the Center. Ms. Oliver commented <br />that some of the rooms at the facility will be available to rent out for events. The facility <br />will incorporate green <br />building practices in order to achieve LEED-Silver certification. Ms. Oliver presented a <br />virtual tour of the interior and exterior of the building. <br /> <br />Ms. Oliver responded to questions from the Council. The Center will open in 2010. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2008-133 <br />B. , Resolution Approving an Exclusive Negotiating Rights <br />Agreement (ENRA) with Cal Coast Development, LLC for Development of Shoreline- <br />Marina Area (provides an 18-month exclusive period for developer to formulate a <br />development plan for the Shoreline-Marina Area). (3127) <br /> <br />Mr. Hollister gave background on the matter and announced that Ed Miller, CEO of Cal <br />Coast, and Dan Withee, partner, Withee Malcolm Architects, LLP, were in the <br />audience. Mr. Hollister reported that he and Mayor Santos met today with labor <br />representatives, and an alternative proposal for labor peace language was developed. He <br />then introduced Business Development Manager Cynthia Battenberg <br /> <br />Ms. Battenberg gave a PowerPoint presentation, describing the master developer <br />selection process, the provisions of the ENRA, and the labor peace language proposed <br />by the Building Trades Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Withee and Mr. Miller gave a PowerPoint presentation, showing other projects <br />developed, or planned for development, by Cal Coast. <br /> <br />
