Consultant shall provide construction cost estimates as part of the 50, 90, and 100 percent design <br />submittals. Cost estimates will be prepared based on quantity take-offs, estimating guides, equipment <br />manufacturers' quotes, and construction cost of similar facilities. Contingencies or escalating factors for <br />general estimating, general conditions, contractor overhead and profit, escalation to mid point of <br />construction, and annual cost escalation will be included in the construction cost estimates. <br />Consultant shall also provide a preliminary construction sequencing diagram and preliminary construction <br />schedule as part of the 90 percent design submittal to estimate overall construction duration and to identify <br />the anticipated critical construction path(s). <br />Consultant shall also provide coordination and assistance to the City for the following permitting agencies: <br />1) City of San Leandro Building Department; 2) Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD); and <br />3) Pacific Gas & Electric. Consultant shall attend up to two meetings with each agency to discuss and <br />review permit application procedures. Where permits are determined to be required, Consultant shall <br />prepare and submit applications and documents for the City to submit them to each agency. For budgeting <br />purposes, 100 Consultant labor hours have been assumed for this task. <br />Information and/or Services Provided by City: <br />• Available record drawings and specifications of past WPCP designs. <br />• City-prepared Front End Specifications. <br />• City's standard plans for inclusion in the contract documents. <br />• City's standard title block. <br />• Input and decisions to final design elements. <br />• Equipment tag number designations. <br />• Preferred equipment manufacturers' list, if any. <br />• Input on construction cost estimates. <br />• Input on estimated start of the construction period at about the 75 percent design stage for <br />preparation of the preliminary construction schedule. <br />• Input concerning sequencing constraints associated with construction of new facilities and tie-in to <br />existing facilities (at about the 75 percent design stage). <br />• Written review comments for the 50, 90, antl 100 percent design submittals. <br />• Permit application fees, <br />Consulting Services Agreement between Project No. 08-593-52-239 <br />City of San Leandro and Carollo Engineers, Inc, Page 30 <br />
