CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
LIBRARY -HISTORICAL COMMISSION
300 Estudillo Avenue
San Leandro, California 94577-4706
HISTORIC PRESERVATION INCENTIVESBENEFITS PROGRAMS:
HISTORIC PRESERVATION FUND
RECEIVED
Ristoric Preservation Fund Policy Statement NOV 1 P REVD
Approved September 20, 2005
The purpose of the Historic Preservation Fund is to promote the restoration and
preservation of properties officially recognized as San Leandro Landmarks. Preference
in the award of Historic Preservation Funds will be given to projects that will restore or
enhance the exterior historic elements of the building. This could include both the
architectural planning for a restoration project and related construction. In all cases the
Library -Historical Commission must approve of the project prior to the property owner's,
commencement of work.
It is not the intent of the Commission to authorize these funds for the routine and
necessary maintenance of a Landmark structure, particularly when it has no impact on the
historic nature of the building.
