Oakland International Airport -Community Advisory <br />TO: Community Advisory Distribution List <br />FROM: Rosemary Barnes, Media & Public Relations, Port of Oakland <br />RE: Airship Ventures to Begin Service to Bay Area Region; Operations <br />Scheduled from OAK on Thursdays-Sundays of Each Week <br />DATE: October 24, 2008 <br />***COMMUNITY ADVISOR.'°~°* <br />Airship Ventures is bringing a Zeppelin NT airship to the San Francisco Bay Area for <br />daily sight-seeing flights, advertising operations, corporate and Pvent occasions, and <br />scientific missions. <br />The Zeppelin is expected to arrive in the Bay Area on Saturday, October 25. The <br />planned flight route is overhead the Golden Gate Bridge at approximately noon, <br />continuing south overhead the IJast Bay and Oakland International Airport (OAK), then <br />coming to a final landing at Moffett Field, where it will be based, at approximately 2:30 <br />p.m. <br />Airship Ventures is planning regularly scheduled flights from OAK and Sonoma County <br />airports beginning on November l .The airship will land and depart OAK on Thursdays <br />through Sundays of each week.
