Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: 1 (Grant) <br />The newly-appointed and reappointed Youth Advisory Commissioners took their Oath <br />of Office administered by City Clerk Marian Handa. <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS--CITY COUNCIL <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br />None. <br />4. PUBLIC HEARINGS~TOINT CITY COUNCIL/ REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />None. <br />5. PUBLIC COA'IlVIENTS <br />Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the Mayor. <br />When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the <br />City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names and <br />addresses obtained. The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest NOT <br />listed on the Agenda. <br />Antonio Christian, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on <br />incidents of crime and the general lack of respect for the law in San Leandro, Mr. Christian <br />suggested increased police patrol at Estudillo and Benedict. He expressed concern for public <br />safety and a personal willingness to volunteer to help the City address its crime problems. <br />Rose Johnson, President of the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce, addressed the City <br />Council, introducing the new Chamber CEO, David P. Johnson. Mr. Johnson provided a <br />brief biography to the City Council, and expressed his desire to work with City leaders. <br />Alberto Colon, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting that many <br />of the problems in his neighborhood that he previously reported to the Council have been <br />
