Finance Committee Meeting of October 21, 2008. Accepted as submitted. <br />2. Shoreline-Marina Committee Meeting of October 28, 2008. Accepted as <br />submitted. <br />12. CITY COUNCIL COMIlVIENTS <br />Councilmember Prola commented that he attended the San Leandro High School production <br />of "Metamorphoses"; the 10~` Anniversary celebration of the Airport Noise Forum at the <br />Oakland Aquatic Center; the Veterans Day flag raising ceremony; and the Davis Street <br />Family Resource Center Open House. <br />Vice Mayor Stephens complimented the Police Department on its rapid response to <br />community problems this past year. He commented that he would like to see community <br />compliance enforcement strengthened throughout the City, and follow-up performed. <br />Councilmember Souza. commented on the LINKS Shuttle, expressing interest in having <br />information regarding the BID assessment included in the mailing of business license renewal <br />notices. Councilmember Souza suggested that the City perform an independent survey of <br />LINKS ridership, and requested a timeline and process for appointment of members to the <br />new Redevelopment Advisory Committee. <br />Councilmember Gregory announced that Johanne Dictor is the new president of the Estudillo <br />Homeowners Association. He commented that he, along with Mayor Santos and Vice Mayor <br />Stephens, would be attending a meeting of the Estudillo HOA tomorrow night. <br />Mayor Santos commented that he attended the 10~' Anniversary of the Airport Noise Forum, <br />at which he and Community Relations Representative Kathy Ornelas received certificates of <br />appreciation. Mayor Santos commented that he has received calls from concerned citizens <br />regarding poor street conditions at several locations, traffic and speeding on Springlake Drive, <br />and thefts from recycling bins. Mayor Santos announced that tonight's meeting would be <br />adjourned in memory of Bob Dash, who passed away at the age of 88; and Maria Alves, who <br />was a longtime member of UPEC and IDES. <br />13.
