DRAFT MINUTES <br /> Page 6 <br />December 1, 2008 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak commented on Item 8.B., expressing her support for the Safe <br />Routes to School program. When the program is expanded, she stated that she hoped the <br />Council, perhaps within a committee, could prioritize the schools that could benefit from the <br />program. Councilmember Starosciak requested copies of the Safe Route maps to elementary <br />schools that were referenced in the staff report. <br /> <br />Mayor Santos commented that the matter had been discussed previously with the City and <br />San Leandro School District Liaison Committee. He commented on the support by the <br />Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA) for such projects. <br /> <br />Councilmember Grant noted that she was absent from the November 17 City Council <br />meeting, and she requested that the record reflect that she abstained from the vote on Item <br />8.A. <br /> <br />No amendment to Consent Calendar. <br /> <br /> <br /> 8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion. <br />Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes per item with a maximum of 5 <br />minutes for all items. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by <br />title. <br /> <br />The items on the Consent Calendar were approved by the following vote: <br /> <br />M/S/C Prola and Souza. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br /> <br /> Approved as submitted, with <br />A.Minutes of the Meeting of November 17, 2008. <br />Councilmember Grant abstaining from the vote. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 2008-141 <br />B., Resolution Approving Endorsing San Leandro Safe Routes <br />to School Campaign (resolves to support and endorse the Safe Routes to <br />Schools Program in San Leandro and bring the pilot safety program to San Leandro <br />schools). (1123) <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 2008-142 <br />C., Resolution Approving Amendment No. 1 to Contractual <br />Services Agreement (CSA) Between the City of San Leandro and C. Kell-Smith & <br />Associates Related to the Airport Noise Insulation Program in San Leandro (provides <br />noise insulation measures to the remainder of the original 200 homes by increasing the <br />compensation from $2,170,605 to $2,301,350). Cost: $130,745 to be fully funded by <br />the Port of Oakland. (2323/3026) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
