IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION N0.2008-152 (2318/2624) <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING TITLE 7, CHAPTER 1 <br />OF THE SAN LEANDRO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE <br />RELATING TO RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF PUBLIC PARKS <br />AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 2008-016 to ban the consumption <br />and possession of any open container of any alcoholic beverage in any City park or open space area, <br />except for City sponsored events with prior approval from the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Title 7, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Administrative Code outlines the rules <br />and regulations for the use of public parks and recreational facilities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />Section 1. Title 7, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Administrative Code is hereby <br />amended to add §7.1.100(d) as follows: <br />[New provision proposed to be added is printed in italic underline type.] <br />7~ 1.100. No person, firm, corporation, partnership, club, associations or other organization <br />shall, without the written consent of the City of San Leandro, except as provided in Title 4, Chapter <br />5 of the San Leandro Municipal Code: <br />(a) Sell or offer for sale any goods or merchandise of any kind, solicit sales, funds, <br />contributions or donations of any kind, conduct of any business, trade or occupation. <br />(b) Cut, mark, paint, damage or deface any tree, fence, wall, building, apparatus or other <br />structure, or fasten thereto any poster, circular, or other object. <br />(c) Use sound amplifying equipment that exceeds the City's noise limits as detailed in Section <br />4-1-1100, known as the "Noise Ordinance," of the San Leandro Municipal Code. <br />Consume or be in possession of any open container o~y alcoholic bevera eg i, n any City <br />park or ^pen space area, as detailed in Section 4-1-705 of the San Leandro Municipal <br />Code. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall be effective on January 14, 2009, the effective date of <br />Ordinance No. 2008-016. <br />
