IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION N0.2008-152 (2318/2624) RESOLUTION AMENDING TITLE 7, CHAPTER 1 OF THE SAN LEANDRO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE RELATING TO RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF PUBLIC PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 2008-016 to ban the consumption and possession of any open container of any alcoholic beverage in any City park or open space area, except for City sponsored events with prior approval from the City Council; and WHEREAS, Title 7, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Administrative Code outlines the rules and regulations for the use of public parks and recreational facilities. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: Section 1. Title 7, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Administrative Code is hereby amended to add §7.1.100(d) as follows: [New provision proposed to be added is printed in italic underline type.] 7~ 1.100. No person, firm, corporation, partnership, club, associations or other organization shall, without the written consent of the City of San Leandro, except as provided in Title 4, Chapter 5 of the San Leandro Municipal Code: (a) Sell or offer for sale any goods or merchandise of any kind, solicit sales, funds, contributions or donations of any kind, conduct of any business, trade or occupation. (b) Cut, mark, paint, damage or deface any tree, fence, wall, building, apparatus or other structure, or fasten thereto any poster, circular, or other object. (c) Use sound amplifying equipment that exceeds the City's noise limits as detailed in Section 4-1-1100, known as the "Noise Ordinance," of the San Leandro Municipal Code. Consume or be in possession of any open container o~y alcoholic bevera eg i, n any City park or ^pen space area, as detailed in Section 4-1-705 of the San Leandro Municipal Code. Section 2. This resolution shall be effective on January 14, 2009, the effective date of Ordinance No. 2008-016.
