The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest <br />listed on the Agenda. <br /> <br />Corina Lopez, President of Best Manor Homeowners Association <br />, addressed the City <br />Council, expressing support for <br />Ms. Lopez commented that the ban, with an exception for either City or non-City sponsored <br />events with prior approval by the City Council, would make . <br /> <br />Rose Johnson, Executive Director of the Davis Street Family Resource Center, and <br />Aisha Knowles, Alameda County Fire Department, <br /> addressed the City Council, urging <br />support for Toy and Food Basket Program. <br />firefighter Luster Knight, who led the efforts of the Fire Department to collect toys and food <br />for the holiday program, and who recently passed away. <br /> <br /> <br /> 6. CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Hollister gave a brief update on the City budget situation and deficit reduction strategies, <br />including possible revenue measures.
