PROPERTY OWNED AND ADQUIRED BY THE AGENCY <br />The Agency owns several properties for long term use which are used for parking lots, <br />transit facilities, landscaped areas and pedestrian malls that serve the Downtown area. <br />One property, Casa Verde at 2398 East 14th Street, is owned by the Agency and is has <br />been redeveloped into a 68-unit low/moderate income apartment project, operated and <br />managed by Mercy Housing under along-term lease agreement. <br />In 2007-08, the Redevelopment Agency acquired title to 268 Parrott Street from the City <br />of San Leandro for consolidation with the adjacent Agency owned parcel at 1595 <br />Washington Avenue. This action provides for a larger, single parcel for future sale and <br />development.
