<br />1. Prefabricated steel truss bridge shall be designed, del,iled and fabricated
<br />cording to the latest provisions of the AASHTO Standard Specifications far
<br />Highway Bridges, AISC Manuel of Steel Construction, Structural Welding Cod,
<br />(ANSI/Aws D1.1-88), and CBC 2001.
<br />Z Prefabricated steel truss bridge shall be made from cold (armed carbon steel
<br />tubing conforming to ASTM A847 (Fy - 50,000 psi); and incidental steel angles,
<br />plates and shapes steel conforming to ASTM A572 (Fy = 50,000 psi). Field bolted
<br />splices shat{ be with ASTM A325 bolls. Minimum thickness of closed structural
<br />tubular members shall be 1/4 inch.
<br />3. All verticals shall be plumbed, All lop & bottom chard shop splices to be
<br />complete penetration type welds. Weld between top chord & end verticol shall be
<br />full or partial beret) a tion, ground flush_
<br />4. Unless otherwise noted, welded c actions shall be fillet welds (or have the
<br />effective throat of a fillet s let weld) of a equal to the thickness a( [hunc lightest
