Cherry City Faire Fine and Handmade Art Competition Categories <br />(Please note: All entries must have a cherry theme.) <br />[See "Rules and Regulations" below regarding specific requirements for hanging, size limits and more] <br />• Block Printing Quilted Articles (no size limit) <br />• Crocheted or Knitted Articles (no size limit) Fine Art (tempera, water color, oil, drawings, <br />• Cross-Stitch pen/ink, collage, etc.) <br />Jewelry (all media, including paper, plastic, • Woodworking /Woodcarving <br />fabric, metal and glass) • Recycled Art -any objects made from recycled <br />• Needlework (needlepoint, crewel, embroidery, or materials <br />combination of techniques) Photography -color /black & white /computer <br />• Pottery -Wheel-thrown enhanced <br />Cherry City Faire Rules and Regulations <br />(Please initial each line indicating agreement to the condition) <br />Fine and Handmade Art entries must be submitted to the San Leandro Recreation and Human Services South <br />Offices, located next to City Hall at 835 East 14~ Street, by Wednesday, May 6, 2009. <br />Only one person per application. Each person can submit multiple entries on the same application. <br />Be sure to fill in the entry form completely, accurately and legibly. <br />Entry fee for each submission is $5. Entry fees are non-refundable. <br />Applications, entry fees, and artwork must be received by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at the San <br />Leandro Recreation and Human Services South Offices, located next to City Hall at 835 East 14~ Street. <br />Entries will be judged prior to the Cherry Festival. <br />-All entries will be displayed at the Cherry Festival in the "Cherry City Faire" tent on Saturday, June 6, 2009. <br />Entries must remain on display in the uCherry City Faire" tent until 6 p,m., at which time owners may pick up their <br />entries, Entries must be picked up between 6 p.m, and 7 p.m. Any entries left past 7 p.m. will become the property <br />of the City of San Leandro. <br />All entries will receive a commemorative ribbon, <br />Cherry City Faire will be held rain or shine (please prepare art submissions for all weather conditions). <br />Rules and Regulations for Fine and Handmade Art Entries: <br />All reasonable care will be given to exhibited items; however, works are entered at artist's risk. City of San Leandro <br />and Cherry Festival employees, staff and volunteers are not responsible for damage or loss. <br />The City of San Leandro and the Cherry Festival reserve the right to reproduce exhibits for promotions and <br />marketing. <br />The City of San Leandro and the Cherry Festival reserve the right to refuse to exhibit any work that maybe <br />offensive or obscene or that management deems inappropriate for minors to view. <br />No copies or prints of art can be entered as original art. <br />No entry will be accepted that is wet or deemed unstable in any way. <br />No names (other than the artist's signature) or other identifying information such as addresses, business cards, or <br />other can be visible on the front of the entry. Names must be on the back of entries (address and phone number <br />are optional). Although this is not a selling show, Cherry Festival staff will do everything possible to put buyers and <br />artists together. <br />All fine art entries must include a caption or title. <br />
