CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br />Mayor Santos led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />B. Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Members Gregory, Prola, Reed, Souza, Starosciak, Stephens; <br />Mayor Santos <br />ABSENT: None <br />2. PRESENTATIONS/ RECOGNITIONS <br />A. Presentation on "The 50 Million Pound Challenge." <br />Mayor Santos learned about the program, which is sponsored by State Farm Insurance, <br />while attending the U.S. Mayors Conference. Two videos were shown. The first, <br />entitled "The 50 Million Pound Challenge," described Dr. Ian Smith's program to <br />combat obesity by promoting healthier lives and more nutritious diets. The second, <br />"This City is Going on a Diet," showed Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett's efforts to <br />get his residents involved in the Challenge. <br />
