Y. During construction the following high standards for sanitation are required: <br />Garbage cans, construction dumpsters, and debris piles shall be removed on a <br />minimum weekly basis. All food related trash items such as wrappers, cans, <br />bottles, and food scraps shall be disposed of in closed containers only and shall <br />be regularly removed from the site. Inspections, conducted as part of the <br />regular construction compliance, will be conducted to ensure compliance of <br />the Applicant and contractors with this requirement. <br />VI. FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />A. The project shall comply with the San Leandro Building and Fire Codes <br />including the building size, wall ratings, opening protection, parapet <br />locations, and approved alternate materials to provide equivalency for <br />emergency vehicle access. <br />B. The project will need to comply with the applicable Building and Fire Codes. <br />Site and Building plans shall be provided for review and approval by the Fire <br />Department. <br />C. Provide UBC allowable area calculations for the building. <br />D. Because of the new property line, the following shall be addressed for the <br />existing building at 1951 Fairway Drive: <br />E. Provide information on the UBC occupancy and construction type of the <br />building. <br />F. Show how the building meets the UBC allowable area, wall rating and <br />opening protection as required by the UBC chapter 5. <br />G. Show the hydrants on site and on the public streets. Provide fire flow <br />information for the site. The fire flow information is available from <br />EBMUD. <br />H. Submit a civil plan showing the emergency vehicle access easements serving <br />the building. The emergency vehicle access easements shall be recorded. <br />I. The Uniform Fire Code section 902.2.1 requires an emergency vehicle access <br />road within 150 feet of all exterior walls of the building. Portions of the west <br />wall exceed 150 feet from an emergency vehicle access road. Show how <br />emergency vehicle access will be provided within 150 feet of the exterior <br />walls. <br />J. If available, provide information on the storage in the building including <br />what is stored, the height of the storage and the storage arrangements. The <br />project shall comply with UFC article 81. <br />K. If required by UFC article 81, a Fire Department access door shall be <br />provided in each 1001ineal feet of the exterior walls. <br />PLN2007-00028 May 20, 2008 <br />Conditions of Approval Page 8 of 10 <br />
