Bav Trail Slough Bride - CSA Mark Thomas & Co. 3 Apri16, 2009 • On April 7, 2008, by Resolution No. 2008-032, the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a grant agreement with ABAG in the amount of $300,000 to help fund the subject project • On February 2, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009-011, the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a grant supplemental agreement to the master agreement for federal projects with the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) • On February 2, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009-012, the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a maintenance and operations agreement with EBRPD for the completed project • On February 2, 2009, by Resolution No. 2009-013, the City Council approved plans and specifications and called for bids on the subject project City Council Committee Review and Action Not Applicable Applicable General Plan Policy • Goal 14 Bicycle and Pedestrian Circulation: Promote and accommodate alternative, environmentally-friendly methods of transportation, such as walking and bicycling • Policy 14.01--Citywide Bikeway System: Develop and maintain a citywide bikeway system that effectively serves residential areas, employment centers, schools, parks, and multi-modal terminals • Action 14.O1B--Capital Improvement Scheduling: Maintain a schedule of capital improvement priorities in the City's Bikeway Plan, and update this schedule as projects are completed and additional funds become available. Capital projects should be developed in accordance with the design standards and priorities identified in the Plan • Policy 14.02--Funding: Aggressively pursue state and federal funding for bicycle and pedestrian improvements, while also including funding for bicycle and pedestrian improvements in the City's Capital Improvement Program • Policy 18.02--Capital Improvements: Identify capital improvements and other measures that improve the safety of bicyclists, pedestrians, and motor vehicles on San Leandro streets • Policy 18.05--Funding: Pursue grants for the improvement of pedestrian, bicycle, and motor vehicle safety.
