(1035) <br /> <br />Fire Marshal Bonnie Terra gave a short presentation, indicating the need to adopt the <br />changes to the Fire Severity Map Ordinance, and the effects of the revised ordinance on <br />new construction. <br /> <br /> Passed to print <br /> <br />M/S/C Gregory and Souza. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br /> <br />A.Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak reported that, as a follow up to the City Council retreat on <br />Saturday, she provided the Council with a copy of SB 205, with the section related to <br />Vehicle License Fees highlighted. She further reported that the Congestion <br />Management Agency voted on the first requests for federal economic stimulus funding, <br />which would mean $2.3 million for San Leandro for Washington and Aladdin Avenues. <br /> <br />Councilmember Gregory reported on the recent meeting of the Alameda County Fire <br />Commission, which was held at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. <br />Commissioners toured the national ignition facility and a state of the art dispatch center. <br /> <br />Mayor Santos reported that he attended meetings of the Alameda County Transportation <br />Improvement Authority (ACTIA), the East Bay Dischargers Authority (EBDA), <br />Alameda County Waste Management Authority (WMA) and the Local Agency <br />Formation Commission (LAFCO). Regarding ACTIA, Mayor Santos commented on <br />the BART extension from Fremont to San Jose, as well as several other upcoming <br />regional transportation projects. LAFCO and WMA are in the process of selecting <br />attorneys, and LAFCO is involved with several annexations in the Tri-Valley area. <br />Mayor Santos reported on the various issues being discussed at EBDA. <br /> <br />Councilmember Starosciak reported on the benefit to the cities in Alameda County of <br />Supervisor Scott Haggerty chair of the nine-county Metropolitan <br />Transportation Commission (MTC). <br /> <br /> <br />B.Reports on Conferences and Seminars <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br />
