Update from Recreation and Human Services Department Regarding Plans for the <br />2009 Cherry Festival <br />Carolyn Knudtson and Micki Cronin gave an overview of the progress of the arrangements <br />for the 2009 Cherry Festival. A 100 yr. planning committee has been meeting monthly since <br />last year's Festival to plan for special recognition of the Festival's anniversary. <br />The day's events include a Royal Procession and Pageant on the community stage at 11:00 <br />a.m.; Mayor's welcome and recognition of the 100th Anniversary on the main stage at 1:00 <br />p.m.; and awards presentations for the Cherry Pie Contest at 1:15 p.m. Amore detailed <br />schedule will be forthcoming. <br />Committee members and staff had further discussions regarding sponsorships and <br />promotional items. <br />2.
