IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2009-053 (2972) RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2009-2010 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN TO IMPLEMENT THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES OF THE 2005-2009 CONSOLIDATED PLAN AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS BY THE CITY MANAGER AND SUBMISSION OF THE PLAN TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) Recitals WHEREAS, through provisions of the Housing and Community Development Act and the National Affordable Housing Act, the federal government has made block grant funding available to local communities for housing and community development activities; and WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro adopted by Resolution No. 2005-046 on April 18, 2005, the 2005-2009 Consolidated Plan to implement the goals identified in the Acts; and WHEREAS, an Annual Action Plan (referred to hereinafter as "the Plan") has been prepared reflecting the activities that the City proposes to fund and implement during FY 2009- 10, and a copy of which is attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro has held two public hearings, solicited public comment for 30 days by publishing a summary of the Plan in the newspaper and by providing the Plan at City Hall, in the City's Community Development Department, at the Main Library, and on the City's website; and WHEREAS, all public comments received, if any, were considered in the contents of the Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends execution and submission of said Action Plan with Certifications as attached. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That said document is hereby approved and execution thereof is hereby authorized.
