CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br /> <br />Councilmember Gregory led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />B. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: Members Gregory, Prola, Reed, Souza, Starosciak, Stephens (arrived at <br />7:10 p.m.); Mayor Santos <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> <br /> 2. PRESENTATIONS/ RECOGNITIONS <br /> <br /> <br />A.Recognition of the Employee of the Quarter, Louie Guillen, Police Officer, Police <br />Department. <br /> <br />Officer Louie Guillen was present to receive his award. <br /> <br /> <br />B.Pr <br /> <br />proclamation presented by Mayor Santos. Mr. Campbell encouraged San Leandro <br />residents to ride their bikes on Bike to Work Day, and everyday. He announced <br />upcoming free bicycle safety classes offered in May, and interested persons can sign up <br />online at www.ebbc.org. <br /> <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />Public Works Services Director Mike Bakaldin accepted the Arbor Day proclamation <br />presented by Mayor Santos. <br /> <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />members of the audience to participate in the event. The Challenge Walk Off, which <br />will be held at Bancroft Middle School Field on May 16, 2009, is being held in support <br />of the 50 Million Pound Challenge. <br /> <br /> <br />
