CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />CITY COUNCIL FACILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE <br />April 14, 2009 <br />4:00 p.m. — 5:30 p.m. <br />San Leandro City Hall <br />835 East 14"' Street <br />San Leandro, California <br />Sister Cities Gallery <br />HIGHLIGHTS <br />Committee Members: Mayor Santos, Councilmember Reed, Councilmember Souza <br />City Staff Present: Mike Bakaldin, Sally Barros, Keith Cooke, Steve Hollister, Pauline <br />Tabilang, Uche Udemezue <br />Outside Presenters: None <br />Public Present: None <br />The meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m. <br />Discussion Regarding Project Updates. <br />Uche Udemezue gave an overview regarding projects under construction updates: <br />• Senior Center <br />o Concrete foundations were poured and require 1 I/2 more weeks of curing <br />o Frame erection will begin the week of April 27, 2009 <br />• Downtown Lighting & Pedestrian Improvements <br />o PG&E continues to have coordination issues <br />o Lighting is complete on Parrott Street and Juana Avenue <br />o We are on budget and on target with completion estimated for July 2009 <br />WPCP Waste Activated Sludge Thickening <br />o Unused tank being rehabilitated and modified to accommodate the <br />existing and new equipment installation <br />o Project completion estimated for January 2010 <br />Uche gave an overview regarding upcoming projects: <br />Washington Avenue/I-880 Interchange - ACTIA <br />o Pre -construction meeting was held on April 8, 2009 <br />o Public information meeting will be held on April 30, 2009 at the Manor <br />Library by invitation only (Councilmember Souza, however, requested <br />that flyers be posted at the Manor Library) <br />
