<br />Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council Meeting <br />Apri119,1999 <br />Page 3 <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, Norm <br />Weisbrod, Associate Planner, gave the staff report and answered questions <br />regarding traffic, parking, and the easement at the tip of the project. It was noted <br />that the Applicant had not been interested in purchasing the easement at this time; <br />but, if it were to be negotiated and offered for a nominal cost, perhaps they would <br />be interested. <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br />Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the Council and clarified the <br />exact location of the proposed development. He noted, as he sees it, there is no <br />involvement with Redevelopment Agency funds. He stated his support for this <br />proposal and added that the City should not make it difficult for them to develop <br />on this site. <br />There being no further comments from the public, the Public Hearing was closed. <br />M/S/C Galvan and Nardine. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />Mr. Ahern, Applicant, addressed the Council, indicating they would be willing to <br />negotiate the purchase of the easement for a nominal price. <br />The following Motion was then introduced: <br />-- Minute Order No. 99-17, Matter of PD-99-1; Planned Development for a <br />5,944-Square-Foot Industrial Building; Vacant Property Located at the <br />Southeast Corner of Washington Avenue and San Leandro Boulevard; <br />Assessor's Parcel Number 77D-1410-4-4; Ted Polyzos, Applicant; Buon <br />Tempo Club, Property Owner; IL (PD) Industrial Limited Planned <br />Development Overlay District. (1009) <br />The City Council approved the Planned Development, PD-99-1, Subject <br />to the Conditions of Approval, and requested staff to negotiate the sale of <br />the easement around this parcel to the developer for a nominal fee. <br />M/S/C Galvan and Loeffler. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />-- There was City Council consensus for Council Member Glaze's request to <br />have staff inventory City-owned remnant parcels throughout the City. <br />
