Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 12 <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting -May 3, 1999 <br />Staff updated the City Council on the Green House Townhomes project and noted, <br />although it was subsequently sold, the City continues to monitor those units for <br />compliance with that program, and they continue to experience good management <br />at that location. <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br />-- Resolution No. 99-60, Resolution Approving Forrn of Loan Agreement <br />Between the City of San Leandro and Citizens Housing Corporation for the <br />Use of HOME Funds for Acquisition and Rehabilitation of a 91-Unit <br />Apartment Building, Authorizing the City Manager to Request an Allocation of <br />Federal HOME Program Funds for aNon-Profit Developer for Acquisition of <br />Affordable Housing, and Authorizing the City Manager to Execute the <br />Necessary Documents to Loan the HOME Funds to Citizens Housing <br />Corporation (provides for a loan of HOME Funds in the amount of $750,000 <br />for acquisition and rehabilitation of a 91-unit apartment complex on Tropic <br />Court for affordable housing). Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Lothrop <br />Council Member Glaze remarked that he hopes Citizen Housing Corporation has <br />taken the City Council's comments to heart regarding the design and make this a <br />safe and livable place for children in the development. <br />'B. Matter of the Redevelopment Plan for the Proposed West San Leandro/MacArthur <br />Boulevard Redevelopment Project Area. <br />-- Resolution No. 99-9, Resolution of the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency <br />Designating the Use of 20% Tax Increment Housing Set-Aside Monies for <br />Development of Low- and Moderate-Income Housing, Both Inside and <br />Outside the West San Leandro/MacArthur Boulevard Redevelopment Project <br />Area (designates funds for low- and moderate-income housing, pursuant to <br />Section 33334.2(8) of the California Redevelopment Law, and permits the use <br />of funds both inside and outside the Project Area). <br />M/SIC Loet'fler and Galvan.
