Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 10 <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting -September 20, 1999 <br />Council discussion ensued with staff and the City Attorney regarding the most <br />critical properties that should move forward this evening. After taking a straw <br />vote of the City Council/Redevelopment Agency regarding each of the nodes being <br />presented, the following properties were suggested for immediate action: The <br />North Area Gateway Node, the Bal Theatre Node, the Bayfair Node, 1111 Marina <br />Boulevard, and the properties in the unincorporated area of Alameda County. The <br />City Attorney suggested the Ciry CounciVRedevelopment Agency act on the <br />agreed-upon nodes and terminate proceedings on the remaining properties. <br />Mayor Young indicated the need to plan a meeting to do a visioning process <br />before the first of the new year. <br />The following Motion and Ordinance were then introduced: <br />-- Minute Order No. 99-63, Matter of Amendment to the Joint Alameda <br />County/City of San Leandro Redevelopment Project Area Relating to <br />Extension of Eminent Domain. (1120) <br />The City Council terminated the eminent domain proceedings on the <br />Islander Node and the Marina Square Auto Center Node (ezcept for 1111 <br />Marina Boulevard) and referred them back to staff for further review. <br />M1S/C Loeffler and Galvan. Ayes: 5; Noes: Grant and Nardine <br />-- Ordinance No. 99-029, An Ordinance Approving Amendment No. 4 to the <br />Joint Alameda County/City of San Leandro Redevelopment Project Area <br />Redevelopment Plan to Extend the Power of Eminent Domain to a Limited <br />Number of Commercially and Industrially Zoned Properties Within the Project <br />Area (modifies language in Section 403 of the Redevelopment Plan to extend <br />the power of Eminent Domain).
