Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 16 <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting -November 15, 1999 <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br />-- Resolution No. 99-167, Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and <br />Calling for Bids for Doolittle Drive Sewer Rehabilitation, Project No. 99-593- <br />52-117 (provides for repair of existing sewer and manholes on Doolittle Drive. <br />Bid opening date is December 14, 1999). (2879) <br />M/S/C Lothrop and Loeffler. Ayes: 5; Noes: 0; Absent: Galvan and <br />Nardine <br />D. Matter of Amendment No. 3 to the Council Members' Handbook, Adding <br />"Guidelines for the Mayor and City Council Travel" to the Reference Section. <br />Since two members of the City Council are not present at the City Council <br />Meeting, Mayor Young suggested this item be tabled. <br />The following Motion was then introduced: <br />-- Minute Order No. 99-74, Matter of Amendment No. 3 to the Council <br />Members' Handbook, Adding "Guidelines for the Mayor and City Council <br />Travel" to the Reference Section. (2850) <br />The City Council indefinitely tabled the matter of an amendment to the <br />Council Members' Handbook, adding "Guidelines for the Mayor and <br />City Council Travel." <br />M/S/C Loeffler and Lothrop. Ayes: 5; Noes: 0; Absent: Galvan and <br />Nardine <br />Council Member Glaze, as a member of the Rules Committee, suggested this issue <br />not be returned to the City Council Rules and Communications Committee, again. <br />He indicated this item is not one that all City Council Members can agree upon; <br />and it would be best dealt with by the entire City Council, rather than the <br />Committee trying to determine what it is that specific Council Members do not <br />support in the policy, based upon various feedback. <br />City Council discussion ensued regarding basic issues with the guidelines, such as, <br />which conferences should be attended and incorrect statements made within the <br />policy relating to mileage reimbursement and parking. The City Council <br />questioned the need to bring this issue back at all. <br />
