Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 5 San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting -December 6, 1999 Agency Member Nardine complimented staff on their community-outreach efforts on this project. She indicated she would like to make two suggestions: (1) that a glossary of terms be provided to the public so they may have a greater understanding of the terminology used; and (2) that there be an explanation given to the residents of the operational issues relative to this project. She suggested someone from the project's staff should meet with the residents and talk with them regarding the hours of operation being proposed and the timing of demolition efforts. Agency Member Nardine also indicated any changes and/or additions of properties relating to this project should be brought back to the Redevelopment Agency for review. She further suggested that, in order to address some of the employee-parking concerns in the area, perhaps they could consider having employee-parking stickers. In conclusion, she requested that the Police Department enforce the truck-idling noise issues in the Project Area. Agency Member Grant clarified with staff that the Redevelopment Agency will not be providing financial assistance up front. Assistance is granted after revenue is flowing to the City through sales tax. It was also clarified that the Agency's financial assistance is capped at 5880,000.
