Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 8 <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting -December 6,1999 <br />F. Cecelia Wavrick, California Nurses' Association, 2200 Franklin Street, <br />addressed the City Council regarding the pending negotiations with Triad <br />Corporation (San Leandro Hospital) and the California Nurses' Association. She <br />urged the City Council to use whatever influence possible to help settle their <br />negotiations. <br />G. Laura Dinucci, 1978 Wayne Avenue, addressed the City Council regarding truck <br />traffic and noise on Wayne Avenue. <br />H. Alma Morten, 1998 Wayne Avenue, addressed the City Council regarding truck <br />traffic and noise on Wayne Avenue. <br />I. Carolyn Glennon, CNA, 13853 Seagate Drive, addressed the City Council <br />regarding the negotiations between the California Nurses' Association and San <br />Leandro Hospital. <br />J. Camille deBord-Phelps, CNA, 236 Rachael Place, Pleasanton, addressed the <br />City Council regarding the negotiations between the California Nurses' <br />Association and San Leandro Hospital. <br />K. Tony Santos, NAACSL, 14495 Nassau Road, addressed the City Council <br />regarding the Airport Ad Hoc Committee Report. He indicated there is a meeting <br />next Wednesday evening regarding air operations out of the North Field. He <br />indicated NAACSL has joined a regional coalition and things are moving rapidly. <br />He concluded by stating he hopes the City Council leaves the Fire Works <br />Ordinance in place. <br />L. Paul Vargas, 872 Portola Drive, addressed the City Council regarding the <br />dealerships on Marina Boulevard. He stated his opposition to the City subsidizing <br />these dealerships. He stated his further opposition to the GM property proposal. <br />He wanted to know if any Council Member received any campaign contributions <br />from anyone involved in this. He also commented on the real estate transfer tax <br />and the need to remove it. He concluded by stating he hopes the City Council <br />rescinds the Fire Works Ordinance. <br />M. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the City Council and echoed <br />comments made by Paul Vargas. He commented on the November 15, 1999, <br />Minutes, indicating they do not adequately reflect the full conversations on issues <br />that took place. <br />N. Aleta Walker, San Leandro Hospital, 20110 San Miguel Avenue, Castro <br />Valley, addressed the City Council regarding negotiations with the California <br />Nurses Association and indicated they are concerning wages and benefits. She <br />stressed to the City Council that negotiations are still in progress. <br />The City Council recessed from 9:48 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. <br />
