Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council Meeting Page - 2 - <br />June 1, 1998 <br />B. Harold Perez, 2052 Bethel Court, addressed the Council regarding the <br />proposed noise monitors to be placed in his neighborhood, questioning <br />when they are to be placed. He also questioned the sewage line that is <br />to go out into the Bay and asked about the clarity of the water. He <br />inquired as to what San Leandro will get for this being emptied into the <br />bay. He concluded by thanking the City for fixing Timothy Drive. <br />Council Member Galvan responded that the sewage is not coming into our <br />treatment plan but is being piped out into the deep water outfall. <br />Kathy Ornelas, Community Relations Representative, responded that the <br />noise monitors should be placed by the end of June. They are proposed <br />to be located at the intersection of Tutor Road and Tutor Court. <br />C. Patrisha Piras, 692 Grant Avenue, Representing the Alameda-Contra Costa <br />Transit District Board, addressed the Council, urging them to oppose the <br />closure of the Transbay Transit Terminal and ramps. <br />D. Alice Cresson, 1600 Franklin Street, Oakland, Director of Alameda-Contra <br />Costa Transit District, addressed the Council, urging them to oppose the <br />closure of the Transbay Transit Terminal and ramps. <br />5. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered <br />for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. <br />Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br />The Consent Calendar was approved as follows: <br />M/S/C Polvorosa and Young. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Loeffler <br />A. Minutes of the Meeting of May 18, 1998. Approved as submitted. <br />B. Resolution No. 98-56, Resolution of Award of Contract to White Oak <br />Landscape, Inc.,for Annual Boulevard Street Tree Planting, Phase III, <br />Project No. 97-210-38-159 (recommends award to the low bidder for bid <br />amount of $199,620.00). Resolution No. 98-57, Resolution Authorizing the Assistant City Manager, <br />the Assistant Finance Director, or Police Captain, Services Bureau, and <br />Emergency Services Manager to File Requests for State and Federal <br />Financial Assistance in the Event of a Declaration of Local <br />Emergency.
