NEW BUSINESS Items removed from the Consent Calendar: 7.B Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and Calling for Bids for Advance Traffic Signal System, Phase II, Davis Street Video Surveillance, Project No. 98-120- 38-168 (provides for video surveillance of traffic along Davis Street as well as connecting traffic signals along the corridor). Council Member Loeffler expressed shock and concern that this is being brought forward, in light of the fact there has not been any progress in moving forward with the televising of Council Meetings. The City Manager explained that this project is funded by grant monies.
