DRAFT MINUTES <br /> Page 6 <br />City of San Leandro City Council, San Leandro Parking Authority, San Leandro Public Financing Authority, and San <br />June 1, 2009 <br />Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />out that the Finance Committee recommendation to increase fees at Farrelly Pool was <br />proposed by the community. Councilmember Prola commented that there will be <br />additional painful cuts next year if the economy does not improve, and the City needs to <br />continue to listen to the community. <br /> <br />Councilmember Souza commented that at the work session, she did not recall that other <br />options besides restoring the libraries were presented, nor did she recall that there was a <br />consensus to devote the full $250,000 to the libraries. <br /> <br />Councilmember Gregory expressed appreciation for the early start of the budget <br />discussions. He mentioned that the Finance Committee planned to propose conducting <br />a poll to determine whether revenue measures would have voter support, such as a <br />lighting/landscape/street benefit district, a library district or sports facility bond. <br />Councilmember Gregory commented that the City may need to consider future <br />reductions to the public safety budget, and he spoke favorably about the three-year <br />budget work out plan. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 2009-070 <br />, Resolution of the City Council of the City of San <br />Leandro Adopting the Budget of the City of San Leandro for the Fiscal Year July <br />1, 2009 to June 30, 2010 (adopts the budget in accordance with City Charter <br />Section 515).
