Task 2 Deliverables:
i. Draft Report describing assumptions made and methods used to analyze the storm system, to include
a map and tabulation of deficiencies.
ii. An electronic, editable copy of the map,
iii, Final report addressing any comments made on Draft report
iv. Meeting minutes
Task 3: Development of Improvement Projects:
Consultant will develop conceptual solutions and planning level cost estimates of total project costs for each
deficiency in the sanitary sewer and storm systems identified in Tasks 1 and 2. Maps will be provided that
indicate the location and extent of each conceptual repair and/or replacement.
Conceptual solutions shall generally be the most economical alternatives and shall include information required
to make an estimate of construction cost such as pipe size, length, and location. New storm drain facilities will
be sized to accept at a minimum the runoff from a storm with a 25-year recurrence interval.
Task 3.1-Sanitary Sewer Improvemenfs. Consultant will evaluate the ability of the existing sewer collection
systems to convey the developed flows based on the results of the hydraulic model. Recommendations for
addressing existing pipelines that are deficient within the TOD redevelopment area will be prepared,
Consultant will recommend solutions, e.g., relief pipelines or replacement pipelines, to address existing
system deficiencies, Relief and replacement pipeline sizes will be determined for existing and TOD
redevelopment flow conditions, so that the share of the facility cost between existing and future customers
can be readily calculated.
Task 3.2 -Storm Drain System Improvemenfs. Consultant will evaluate the field investigation data and then
provide recommendations for improvements to address deficiencies in the surface collection system, It is
anticipated that although the storm system investigation is limited to surface drainage, subsurface
improvements such as new pipes connected to new inlets will be required to mitigate some deficiencies.
Task 3.3 -Cost Estimates. Consultant will develop planning level cost estimates based on the
recommended improvements for both the sanitary sewer and storm drain facilities identified in the above
tasks. Cost estimates will include total project costs. These costs will be categorized into cost associated
with addressing existing system deficiencies and cost associated with providing future storm and sewer
capacity,
Task 3.4 -Task Review Meeting. This task includes one (1) meeting to review the task deliverables after
City review is complete.
Task 3 Meefings:
i. Meet to review comments on Draft submittals.
Task 3 Deliverables:
i. Draft Conceptual plans for correcting deficiencies noted in Tasks 1 and 2
ii. Draft Engineer's planning level estimate of cost for work shown on conceptual plans
iii. Map of each system showing location and extent of required improvements
Consulting Services Agreement between 150-83-073
City of San Leandro and Carollo Engineers--Exhibit A Page 17
