B~'+est~ra Paoi~ic3 '[~ Tom=
15890 Foothill Blvd. • San Leandro, CA 94577
Phone (510) 483-6400 ~ Fax (510) 483-1402
The intersections shall be defined in groups on the system. Preset GIS views for optimal
display of signalized corridors will be established.
Task #20 - #21 CONFIGURATION OF SWITCHES AND ENCODERS
WPS will install, configure, and program the Cisco Catalyst fiber hub switch and
management settings connecting to the fiber optic field cables. Each fiber optic cable shall be
identified for performance confirmation testing during the edge switch deployment. The hub
switch shall be utilized as the foundation of the stand-alone ATMS network.
WPS will configure and program the EtherWAN edge switch management functions, and
Axis video encoder settings. These will be "bench tested" prior to field deployment.
The video encoder hardware will interface to the City's existing Pelco analog cameras via an
analog "T" splitter intercepting the original analog cable and feeding the signal to the video
encoder as well as the original analog fiber encoder. The proposed video encoder will
digitize the same analog video stream and send it back in MPEG4 format to the ATMS.now
server via the fiber optic cable backhaul. This will provide the City with a redundant method
of viewing video if one of the communications systems should fail. We do not recommend
have two sources of PTZ control and will not connect the RS-485 wires to the camera, but
the proposed video encoder will be capable of future PTZ control of the City's Pelco CCTV
cameras.
After each video encoder is installed, the digitized feed will be tested the local intersection
via the Ethernet based network.
The video encoder element will also be integrated into the video server workstation location
for CCTV camera selection and video recording functions.
Task #22: ATMS & CONTROLLER TRAINING (BEGINNING /INTERMEDIATE)
WPS will provide a full 2-day training session for the City staff for its initial training. This
training will include printed material, PowerPoint instruction, and hardware. The 2-day
training will include one day for ATMS.now Central Software Operation and one day for
Naztec controller operation.
Consulting Services Agreement between ']
City of San Leandro and Western Pacific Signal, LLC -Exhibit A
