Discussion Regarding Recommendation for Composition of the New Redevelopment <br />Advisory Committee <br />Senior Development Project Specialist Penaranda explained the City received seventy-one <br />applications for the committee. The applicant names were forwarded to the City Council in <br />April and copies of the applications were forwarded to the Screening/Interview Panel, which <br />consisted of Mayor Santos and staff from the City Manager's Office and the Office of <br />Business Development. The panel met on April 27 and reviewed the applications. At this <br />meeting the panel agreed on the property owner, business owner and housing representatives, <br />but decided to interview three to five residents from each project area as many of the <br />candidates were unknown by the panel. Interviews were held on May 22 and June 3 and <br />based on the quality of the candidates; the panel recommends 12 candidates, including two <br />at-large residential representatives. <br />Recommendation: <br />Council ratification of the panel's recommended composition of the Redevelopment <br />Advisory Committee. <br />2. Discussion Regarding Recommendation to Enter into An Exclusive Negotiating Rights <br />Agreement with Innisfree Companies for Development of 1550 East 14th Street and Town <br />Hall Square <br />
