Council Member Glaze spoke about the graffiti trailer shared by <br />Hayward, Union City, and Fremont; he said it can be used by community <br />groups. <br />He extended his congratulations to John Jermanis and recognized <br />Wandzia Grycz for her commitment, abilities, and integrity. <br />5. Council Member Loeffler commented on the timeline to address the <br />Welfare Reform issue. He commended staff far the joint conference <br />with ABAG. He thanked Wandzia for her work. <br />6. Council Member Lothrop thanked Wandzia Grycz for her work; she said <br />the City will benefit from their teamwork. She said she had been <br />involved with the Youth Advisory Commission and supports their <br />continued efforts. <br />She asked that staff review the traffic issues on Williams Street. <br />7. Mayor Corbett said an ABAG Subregional Planning event had occurred <br />and was very successful. She thanked Wandzia for her leadership and <br />noted that Wandzia had removed her name for consideration of the <br />position. She said she is looking forward to working with both John <br />and Wandzia. <br />8. Interim City Manager Wandzia Grycz thanked the Council for the <br />opportunity to serve; she said it is an honor to work for them and <br />this will be a highlight of her career. She thanked John Jermanis <br />and Steve Meyers for their honesty and integrity. She thanked the <br />department heads for their teamwork. She said she is proud of staff <br />members for their outstanding work. She congratulated John and <br />offered the support of staff. <br />9. John Jermanis acknowledged Wandzia's work. He said he enjoys the <br />working relationship, the commitment to the community, and looks <br />forward to carrying out the Council's vision and deliver quality <br />services. <br />9.
