CALL TO ORDER <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br />B. Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Members Galvan, Glaze, Loeffler, Lothrop, Polvorosa, Young; <br />Mayor Corbett <br />ABSENT: None <br />2. PRESENTATIONS <br />A. Resolution of Commendation Recognizing the Contributions of John <br />Justino, Recreation and Parks Commission, District 2. <br />Mayor Corbett read the Commendation and noted that it would be forwarded <br />to Mr. Justino. <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />None <br />4. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited <br />to make any comments related to Agenda items, or other items of public <br />interest, at this time. <br />A. Lamar Heysteck, 2481 Marina Boulevard, urged the City Council and <br />citizens to support the School Bond Measure. He said he supports the <br />efforts of the Youth Advisory Commission (YAC) to promote youth in the <br />community. <br />B. Cary Walker, 471 Santa Monica, commented on the recruitment of the City <br />Manager position, a lawsuit pertaining to civil rights, and the effect <br />of Proposition 218 on mobilehome park agreements. <br />C. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, asked about Brown Act limitations <br />and commented on the Closed Sessions regarding the City Manager <br />position. <br />D. Louis Heysteck, 2481 Marina Boulevard, came forward with other Youth <br />Advisory Commission (YAC) members and made presentations to Mayor <br />Corbett, Council Member Young, and Kenton Jang for their work on the YAC <br />retreat. He presented the new YAC t-shirt. <br />
