Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council and Page - 3 - Redevelopment Agency Meeting - March 17, 1997 - Ordinance No. 97-08, An Ordinance Reclassifying Certain Property Herein Described as to Zoning District and Amending Zoning Map (A-97- 1), 91 Durant Avenue. (1099/1009/1024) - Passed to Print M/S/C Loeffler and Lothrop. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Excused: Glaze 4. PUBLIC COMMENTS Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited to make any comments related to Agenda items, or other items of public interest, at this time. A. Susan Riskind-Poulsen, 182 Sunnyside Drive, invited the Council and public to attend the East 14th Street planting project; she thanked the Council and staff for funding and working on the project. B. Joe Collier, 792 Floresta Boulevard, said he represents the Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Adjustments in thanking the Council for the opportunity to attend the Planning Conference in Monterey. He noted one workshop related to regulation of adult-oriented businesses; he said a draft ordinance for cities was made available. C. Carey Walker, 471 Santa Monica, commented on the recent gunfire incident involving the Los Angeles Police Department. He said he is against new taxes and any City salary raises. D. Elaine de Coligny, San Leandro Shelter for Women and Children, thanked the Council for their support for the Bessie Coleman Court project. She reminded the Council to attend the Art Reach event on Sunday, March 23, 1997. E. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, commented on item B under New Business. He asked if negotiations had continued with the property owner. He said he supports the project on Durant Avenue. 5. CONSENT CALENDAR Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title.
