Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council and Page - 8 - <br />Redevelopment Agency Meeting - March 17, 1997 <br />8. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br />None <br />B. Reports on City Council Subcommittees <br />None <br />C. City Council Comments <br />A. Council Member Lothrop said she has concerns over the condition of <br />the railroad tracts on both Williams Street and Marina Boulevard. <br />She also said she had received complaints about the intersection at <br />Doolittle and Catalina -- that people cannot see the corner. <br />B. Vice Mayor Polvorosa noted that a meeting with the ISTEA <br />representatives had occurred while the City Council was in <br />Washington, D.C. <br />C. Council Member Loeffler reminded everyone of the upcoming Joint ABAG <br />North Area meeting; he asked that the meeting be publicized, <br />especially in the North Area. <br />Council Member Loeffler asked about the City's relationship with TCI <br />Cable. He said rates have increased and the quality of the service <br />is decreasing. <br />Council Member Loeffler reminded everyone to attend the Art Reach <br />event on Sunday. <br />D. Council Member Young also noted the importance of the Art Reach event <br />on Sunday. With regard to the McManus property, she asked that staff <br />be encouraged to continue working with the property owner regarding <br />access to the sewer line. <br />Council Member Young commented on the successful trip to Washington, <br />D.C. She commended the Mayor for arranging a meeting with the Mayor <br />of Laredo, Texas, regarding future federal funds. <br />E. Vice Mayor Polvorosa agreed with Council Member Young on the success <br />of the Washington, D.C., trip. <br />
