Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council and Page - 7 - San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Special Meeting - June 30, 1997 - Minute Order No. 97-28, Motion Creating and Appointing Members to a City Council Ad Hoc Committee for the Purpose of Appointing a Community Planning Committee to Oversee the Development of the Marketing Plan. (1315/2774) The City Council created and appointed Mayor Corbett, Vice Mayor Loeffler, and Council Member Galvan to a new City Council Ad Hoc Committee for the Purpose of Appointing the Existing EDAC Committee as the Community Planning Committee to Oversee the Development of the Marketing Plan. M/S/C Young and Loeffler. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 B. Matter of Economic Development Strategy. Nanci Klein, Economic Development Coordinator, gave the staff report and urged Council's approval of the document. Council Member Young commended Ms. Klein and the Committee on their efforts and noted that this is a most comprehensive document. Council Member Loeffler commended the many contributors to the document. The following Motion was then introduced: Minute Order No. 97-29, Motion Approving the Economic Development Strategy, as presented. (2774) The City Council approved the Economic Development Strategy, as presented. M/S/C Young and Polvorosa. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 C. Resolution of the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Approving an Amendment to the Letter of Intent Between the Redevelopment Agency and Creekside Center Associates, Inc., and Design Development Concept for Development of Agency-Owned Property at 960 San Leandro Boulevard (amends the Letter of Intent to clarify the standard and location for a fine-dining restaurant tenant and references a new set of architectural and site plan drawings, dated June 1997, and directs staff to bring back a Disposition and Development Agreement for Council consideration in August 1997). City Manager John Jermanis made brief opening comments, and June Catalano, Development Services Director, gave the staff report. Mr. Irmer gave a brief commentary and Mr. Kevin James, Architect for MCG, explained the project in greater detail. Council Member Polvorosa commended the architect on the booklet which was provided to Council and for incorporating the designs of the area.
