So, after this agreement, I think you'll see EBDA look at the JPA and one of the reasons <br />why, is as Bob said, the agreement that we are entering into outlives the existence of <br />EBDA. So we have to look at the JPA anyway. I don't think that because we <br />commented on it originally in the first EIR process, I don't think there is any jeopardy <br />of us not getting the mitigation if we don't put it in this agreement. It's referenced in <br />the agreement -everybody understands that we're going to get mitigation for the street. <br />And, again, we have the opportunity to be specific about that, which is not necessary in <br />this agreement, during the EIR process and during the permit process when they pull the <br />permit to do this project. I don't think tonight that we have to dot all the "I"s and cross <br />the "T"s. We just have to maybe put a committee together, certainly I would be willing <br />to work with Bob -it's his district that's going to experience all the disruption, and kind <br />of work with staff and nail down exactly what it is that we want to see on Lewelling <br />Boulevard And, as long as we do that in a timely manner in accordance with the EIR <br />process, there's not going to be any problem. <br />Mayor Corbett: So you believe we can get additional mitigation beyond what was <br />negotiated 10 years ago to address some of the current concerns through the EIR process <br />and/or the encroachment permit..... <br />Council Member Galvan: As long as it stays within the scope of what we originally <br />asked for, which was street-scaping improvements. Now, that is so vague. What does <br />"street-scaping improvements" mean? We never were very specific and said we want <br />"X" amount of dollars for "this."
