EXHIBIT A <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The project consists of providing construction staking services for Macarthur Boulevard Streetscape <br />(Phase 1), between Durant Avenue and Lewis Avenue, and from Dutton Avenue to Estudillo Avenue <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />The following is the scope of work for the project: <br />Construction Staking Services: <br />• Establish Horizontal and Vertical control through out the areas of work. <br />• Mark out the limits of demolition for all hardscape surfaces (curbs, sidewalks, <br />pavement, etc. <br />• Provide one set of stakes for finish grade elevations for roadway, island, and concrete <br />surfaces. <br />• Provide one set of stakes for all the drainage system improvements. <br />• Provide one set of stakes for all the driveways, curb, curb and gutter, and island curb <br />layouts with new finish elevations. <br />• Provide one set of stakes for the street lighting system. Also includes one set of <br />stakes for the fire hydrant relocations. <br />Administrative Services: <br />- Review of existing documents by office staff and attendance at two meetings with the <br />City and the contractor to determine schedule and required staking. <br />- Preparation of all necessary staking plans and plots based on the approved plans. <br />- Coordination with the BKF engineering staff and consultants to clarify design issues <br />during preparation of the staking plan information. <br />- All necessary scheduling requested by the contractor, dispatch, follow-up, <br />correspondence and administration. <br />DELIVERABLES/SCHEDULE <br />Provide construction staking and cut sheets as requested by the general contractor within <br />72 hours of the request. <br />Macarthur Boulevard Streetscape (Phase 1) 03/22/05 <br />03-964-82-OSf~ Page 15 of 20 <br />
