IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-095 (3062) <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO <br />AN EXERCISE OF JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF FREMONT FOR <br />ANIMAL SHELTER SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department is committed to providing quality Animal Control <br />Services to the community; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Fremont's Tri -City Shelter is a cost-effective choice to provide <br />shelter for abandoned animals. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That the City Manager is authorized to enter into an exercise of joint powers agreement <br />with the City of Fremont for animal shelter services. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Stephens and passed and adopted this 20th day of June, <br />2005 by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Badger, Nardine, Santos, Starosciak, Stephens; Mayor Young (6) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Grant (1) <br />ATTEST: !ti <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
