IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-098 (3029) <br />RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR A FEDERAL SURFACE <br />TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM GRANT FOR THE WASHINGTON AVENUE <br />REHABILITATION PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 150-38-267 <br />WHEREAS, in August 2004, the City Council authorized the City Manager to file an <br />application with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) seeking federal funding as <br />part of the 2nd Cycle Surface Transportation Program (STP) and Congestion Mitigation and Air <br />Quality (CMAQ) improvement program that is administered by the State of California; and <br />WHEREAS, the City was awarded grant funds in the amount of $311,611 for the street <br />rehabilitation of Washington Avenue in the vicinity of Halcyon Drive/Floresta Boulevard. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />tollovvs: <br />That $311,611 of grant funds shall be appropriated for the street rehabilitation of <br />Washington Avenue in the vicinity of Halcyon Drive/Floresta Boulevard. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Santos and passed and adopted this 5th day of July 2005, <br />by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Badger, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Starosciak; Mayor Young (6) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Stephens (I) <br />ATTEST: <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
